This Adobe® Photoshop® compatible filter plug-in has been designed to simplify the task of converting your images to match the colour palette of your target mobile device.

When using a standard graphics editing program to reduce the colour count from 24-bit colour depth to 8-bit colour depth, a graphics program will often choose the most apropriate colour to please the eye. This may or may not be a colour present in the target device colour palette. Also, colour palettes of mobile devices may differ according to model and manufacturer even though the nominal colour depth might be the same.

The Custom Colour Depth Converter targets this problem, by providing device specific colour translation.
